King Day of Service

January 21 is Martin Luther King Day but typical celebrations have been moved forward because on that day this year President Obama will be inaugurated for his second term. However, this will allow average citizens to participate in the Martin Luther King Day of Service.

Dr. King believed that, “Everybody can be great because everyone can serve.” Serving the community on Dr. King’s birthday has been said by his wife, Coretta Scott King, to be “…the greatest birthday gift my husband could receive…” There are many ways to volunteer on Monday so don’t just take the day off, do something to help Dr. King’s dream become a reality. The easiest way to find a volunteer opportunity is to click here and enter your zip code.

We look forward to serving with you this Monday!
