Southern Foodways Alliance Symposium

As Grandma Maud’s CEO, Paul Fregia, attends the 15th annual Southern Foodways Alliance Symposium we are going to do real time blogging, Facebooking, and Tweeting as he feeds us information. We will continue to keep you posted but for now here’s a little bit about the Southern Foodways Alliance.

The Southern Foodways Alliance is an organization that is dedicated to the study and celebration of Southern food. Every year the Southern Foodways Alliance Symposium has been hosted to celebrate the classic southern foods and introduce new ideas. The symposium also has the Delta Divertissment, that’s like a warm up for the Southern Foodways Alliance Symposium. This warm up last for a day and a half and leads directly into the main events for the Symposium. Over the years the Southern Foodways Alliance Symposium has grown and this year we were a few of the lucky ones because tickets sold out in a record 12 minutes.

We are so excited that Grandma Maud’s CEO, Paul Fregia, will be able to pass on information from the Southern Foodways Alliance Symposium, which has been going on annually for the last 15 years. Click here to be routed directly to the Southern Foodway Alliance history page for more exciting facts about how and why the Southern Foodway Alliance Symposium started.

This year’s theme at the Southern Foodways Alliance Symposium is barbecue. So while Grandma Maud’s Facebook and Twitter teams keep you updated our CEO, Paul Fregia, will get a chance to try of a plethora of different barbeque dishes. We are so excited to have the opportunity to give you direct reports of this landmark event. Luckily for us back at Grandma Maud’s  corporate office we can conjure up our own version of the differnet dishes Paul will try with Grandma Maud’s Premium Southern Seasoning, it has a delicious smoked meat flavor without the use of animal products.

Paul we wish  you a safe trip and we will anxiously await your updates!
